Type: kshetra
Scene: A circle of sages/pilgrims respectfully questions a narrator about a Hara shrine: who installed it (Pālaka), and who was Ghaṇṭa and his lineage; the unseen liṅga/temple presence anchors the inquiry.
It underscores that tīrtha sanctity is preserved through remembered founders, lineages, and acts of devotion like installing liṅgas.
The liṅga of Hara installed by Pālaka, and the tradition connected to ‘Ghaṇṭa’ (Ghaṇṭaśiva) within the same sacred region.
Sthāpana/pratiṣṭhā of a Śiva-liṅga is referenced; the sages ask for its historical details.
