एतस्य मम मित्रस्य तेन दृष्टेन कारणम् । अन्यथा जायते मृत्युस्ततोऽहं त्वां समागतः
etasya mama mitrasya tena dṛṣṭena kāraṇam | anyathā jāyate mṛtyustato'haṃ tvāṃ samāgataḥ
Um dieses meines Freundes willen — damit er „gesehen“, das heißt erkannt und anerkannt werde — bin ich gekommen. Sonst träte der Tod ein; darum bin ich zu dir gelangt.“
