सर्वदानोत्तरं चैव चातुर्मास्ये न संशयः । सर्वमासकृतं पापं चातुर्मास्ये शुभाशुभम्

sarvadānottaraṃ caiva cāturmāsye na saṃśayaḥ | sarvamāsakṛtaṃ pāpaṃ cāturmāsye śubhāśubham

Im Cāturmāsya übertrifft sein Verdienst alle Gaben — daran besteht kein Zweifel. Die Sünden, die sich über alle Monate ansammeln, ob aus als „gut“ oder „schlecht“ bezeichneten Taten, werden im Cāturmāsya aufgegriffen und geläutert.
