Skanda Purana — Nagara Khanda, Shloka 34

नियमे च कृते दद्याद्ब्राह्मणाय तदेव हि । नियमस्तु कृतो यस्य स्वशक्त्या स्यात्फलं ततः

niyame ca kṛte dadyādbrāhmaṇāya tadeva hi | niyamastu kṛto yasya svaśaktyā syātphalaṃ tataḥ

Und wenn die Observanz vollendet ist, soll man wahrlich jenes gelobte Opfergeschenk einem Brāhmaṇa darreichen. Die Frucht entsteht entsprechend der Disziplin, die einer nach eigener Kraft auf sich genommen hat.
