ब्रह्मोवाच । मम भक्तिपरो नित्यं वृकोऽयं दैत्यसत्तमः । पौत्रस्त्वं दयितो नित्यं तेन त्वां प्रार्थयाम्यहम्
brahmovāca | mama bhaktiparo nityaṃ vṛko'yaṃ daityasattamaḥ | pautrastvaṃ dayito nityaṃ tena tvāṃ prārthayāmyaham
Brahmā sprach: „Dieser Vṛka, der Vornehmste unter den Dānavas, ist mir stets in Hingabe zugetan. Und du, mein Enkel, bist mir immer lieb; darum flehe ich dich an.“
