विभक्तिरहितं श्राद्धं क्रियते वा विपर्ययात् । अकृतं तद्विजानीयात्पितृणां नोपतिष्ठति
vibhaktirahitaṃ śrāddhaṃ kriyate vā viparyayāt | akṛtaṃ tadvijānīyātpitṛṇāṃ nopatiṣṭhati
Wird ein śrāddha ohne die richtigen Kasusendungen vollzogen—oder werden sie aus Irrtum vertauscht—so wisse: dieser Ritus gilt, als wäre er nicht getan; er erreicht die Pitṛs (Ahnen) nicht und sättigt sie nicht.
