Skanda Purana — Nagara Khanda, Shloka 27
कुरुष्वेति च तैः प्रोक्ते गत्वाग्नि शरणं ततः । अग्नये कव्यवाहनाय स्वाहेति प्रथमाहुतिः
kuruṣveti ca taiḥ prokte gatvāgni śaraṇaṃ tataḥ | agnaye kavyavāhanāya svāheti prathamāhutiḥ
Wenn sie sagen: „Tu es“, geht er daraufhin zum Schutz des Feuers. Die erste Opfergabe wird dargebracht mit: „Agni, dem Träger der kavyas (kavyavāhana), svāhā.“
