तं शृणुध्वं महाभागा गदतो मम सांप्रतम् । पितॄनन्नेन येनैव समुद्दिश्य द्विजोत्तमान्

taṃ śṛṇudhvaṃ mahābhāgā gadato mama sāṃpratam | pitṝnannena yenaiva samuddiśya dvijottamān

Hört nun, ihr Glückseligen, wie ich spreche. Durch eben diese Speisegabe—den Pitṛs geweiht und an die Vorzüglichsten der Zweimalgeborenen (Brahmanen) gerichtet—ist das Ritual zu vollziehen.
