पितुः पितामहस्यैव तत्पितुश्च ततः परम् । समुद्देशेन दत्तेन ब्राह्मणेभ्यः प्रभक्तितः
pituḥ pitāmahasyaiva tatpituśca tataḥ param | samuddeśena dattena brāhmaṇebhyaḥ prabhaktitaḥ
Für den Vater, den Großvater und dessen Vater, und noch weiter: Wenn man Brahmanen in aufrichtiger Hingabe eine Gabe darbringt und bei der Widmung die gemeinten Ahnen ausdrücklich nennt, dann erreicht diese Opfergabe sie.
