Type: kshetra
Scene: A prophetic speaker describes the dimming of dharma across successive yugas; crowds turn away toward discordant, ‘alien’ loyalties, while a quiet tīrtha landscape stands as a refuge.
When dharma wanes, devotion and conduct drift; maintaining right worship and ethics becomes a conscious discipline.
None in this verse; it provides a yuga-based moral backdrop to the tīrtha discussion.
No direct prescription; it explains why prescribed rites (like śrāddha) become neglected.
