Type: ghat
Scene: At a tīrtha-bank, a householder offers piṇḍa and water with darbha while brāhmaṇas sit as recipients; the atmosphere is auspicious, with parva-time markers (Sun’s transition or eclipse shadow) subtly shown.
Rituals gain special power when aligned with sacred time and sacred place, uniting kāla and kṣetra in dharma.
Tīrthas in general are praised; within the chapter’s frame, this supports the glorification of Hāṭakeśvara-kṣetra.
Perform Śrāddha on auspicious calendrical occasions, and especially at holy tīrthas.
