श्रीभगवानुवाच । एष गौर्या पुरा कृत्वा निजांगोद्वर्तनं कृतः । निर्मलेन कृतः पश्चान्नराकारश्चतुर्भुजः
śrībhagavānuvāca | eṣa gauryā purā kṛtvā nijāṃgodvartanaṃ kṛtaḥ | nirmalena kṛtaḥ paścānnarākāraścaturbhujaḥ
Der erhabene Herr sprach: „Einst, in alter Zeit, bereitete die Göttin Gaurī aus dem Abrieb ihrer eigenen Glieder eine Paste und formte ihn daraus. Danach wurde er aus jener reinen Substanz gestaltet – von menschlicher Gestalt und vierarmig.“
