Nachdem er sich verneigt hatte, sprach er demütig im Stehen: „O Bester unter den Göttern, ich bin müde geworden, in den Häusern der Brāhmaṇas zu wohnen und von ihnen abhängig zu sein.“
A poor man (daridra), addressing Pitāmaha/Brahmā
Tirtha: Puṣkara
Type: kshetra
Listener: Pārthiva (king)
Scene: A poor man in simple cloth bows fully (praṇipāta) before Brahmā, then stands with folded hands, head slightly lowered, speaking his hardship; Brahmā listens with composed compassion.
Vinaya (humility) and truthful confession of suffering are presented as proper grounds for seeking divine guidance.
The immediate scene continues at Puṣkara, though this verse focuses on the petitioner’s condition.
None directly; it is a supplication that prepares for instruction.
