Śrī Bhagavān (Śiva, in liṅga/tīrtha context)
Type: kshetra
Listener: brāhmaṇa-sattama (dvija-uttama)
Scene: Bhagavān speaks to a venerable brāhmaṇa, declaring that on Mādhava-śukla-aṣṭamī he has granted darśana; the setting implies a tīrtha precinct with a liṅga and worship implements.
Divine grace is linked with sacred time—certain tithis and months are celebrated as especially conducive to darśana and merit.
The tīrtha of Adhyāya 209 where the Lord grants darśana and later promises benefits from bathing and worship.
The verse highlights the auspicious timing (Aṣṭamī in bright Vaiśākha) associated with divine encounter, implying observance of sacred calendar disciplines.
