विश्वामित्र उवाच । तस्य तं निश्चयं ज्ञात्वा शस्त्रमादाय निर्मलम् । चकर्ताथ भुजौ तस्य भ्राता भ्रातुश्च निर्घृणः । सोपि च्छिन्नकरो विप्रो व्यथयापि समन्वितः
viśvāmitra uvāca | tasya taṃ niścayaṃ jñātvā śastramādāya nirmalam | cakartātha bhujau tasya bhrātā bhrātuśca nirghṛṇaḥ | sopi cchinnakaro vipro vyathayāpi samanvitaḥ
Viśvāmitra sprach: In Kenntnis seines festen Entschlusses nahm sein Bruder – mitleidlos selbst gegenüber dem eigenen Bruder – eine makellose Waffe und hieb ihm die Arme ab. Auch jener Brāhmaṇa war, mit abgetrennten Händen, von Schmerz erfüllt.
