Transliteration

viśvāmitra uvāca | śrūyatāmabhidhāsyāmi kathā menāṃ dharādhipa | paṃcarātrātparaṃ śakro yathā na syāddharātale

Translation

Viśvāmitra sprach: „Höre, o Herr der Erde; ich will dir diese Begebenheit erzählen, damit klar werde, warum Śakra nicht länger als fünf Nächte auf Erden bleibt.“
