Skanda Purana — Nagara Khanda, Shloka 82

तेन रुष्टः सहस्राक्षस्तव चांते समागताः । तस्मात्कुरु प्रसादं नः श्राद्धार्हाः स्याम वै यथा

tena ruṣṭaḥ sahasrākṣastava cāṃte samāgatāḥ | tasmātkuru prasādaṃ naḥ śrāddhārhāḥ syāma vai yathā

Darum wurde Sahasrākṣa (Indra) zornig, und wir sind in deine Gegenwart gekommen. So gewähre uns deine Gnade, damit wir wahrlich würdig werden, die Śrāddha-Gaben zu empfangen.
