Skanda (deduced)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A Vedic rite at a tīrtha: Sāmavedic chanters seated in orderly rows, palm-leaf manuscripts, a yajña-vedi nearby; the patron listens with folded hands as sāman melodies rise, while Rudra-passages are intoned; the atmosphere is austere yet auspicious.
The tīrtha tradition embraces a comprehensive sacred soundscape, where Viṣṇu-centered and Rudra-centered recitations coexist to generate puṇya and harmony.
These are continuing prescriptions for the Garttā-tīrtha rite described in Nāgarakhaṇḍa, Tīrthamāhātmya, Adhyāya 201.
Chant Sauvrata, the Viṣṇu-saṃhitā, Jyeṣṭha-sāman, and Sāmaveda-prescribed Rudra passages accompanied by Bhāruṇḍa sāman chants.
