Skanda Purana — Nagara Khanda, Shloka 104

मायाविशारदैस्तैश्च धनेन विद्यया ततः । अध जग्धं ततस्तैस्तु तेषां मध्ये स्थितं च तैः

māyāviśāradaistaiśca dhanena vidyayā tataḥ | adha jagdhaṃ tatastaistu teṣāṃ madhye sthitaṃ ca taiḥ

Dann bewirkten jene, die in Māyā kundig waren und sich auf Reichtum und Wissen stützten, einen weiteren Sturz; so wurde das, was in ihre Mitte gesetzt war, von ihnen selbst verzehrt und zugrunde gerichtet.
