ब्रह्मा तेषां शतं यावत्स जीवति पितामहः । सांप्रतं चाष्टवर्षीयः षण्मासश्चैव संस्थितः

brahmā teṣāṃ śataṃ yāvatsa jīvati pitāmahaḥ | sāṃprataṃ cāṣṭavarṣīyaḥ ṣaṇmāsaścaiva saṃsthitaḥ

Unter diesen Maßen lebt Brahmā—der Pitāmaha, der Großvater—bis zu hundert (solcher Maße). Und gegenwärtig ist er nach jener göttlichen Rechnung so verankert, dass er acht Jahre und sechs Monate vollendet hat.
