Pulastya
Type: ghat
Scene: A crowded yet orderly ghat scene: the principal yajamāna enters the water with priests, while other men and women also bathe at the same auspicious moment; a luminous aura over the water suggests sin-dissolution.
Holy association and timely tīrtha-bathing grant pāpa-kṣaya—purification is magnified by sacred time and sacred company.
The bathing-spot used for the avabhṛtha/Vāruṇī rite is praised as a sin-destroying tīrtha, though unnamed in this verse.
Bathing at the appointed ritual time (samaya) at that place, together with the principal participant and priests.
