सूत उवाच । श्वेतद्वीपः समानीतो विष्णुना प्रभविष्णुना । तत्क्षेत्रे कलिभीतेन यथा शौक्ल्यं न संत्यजेत्
sūta uvāca | śvetadvīpaḥ samānīto viṣṇunā prabhaviṣṇunā | tatkṣetre kalibhītena yathā śauklyaṃ na saṃtyajet
Sūta sprach: „Śvetadvīpa wurde von Viṣṇu, dem allmächtigen Herrn, hierher gebracht, damit es in jenem heiligen Gebiet—aus Furcht vor Kali—seine Weiße (Reinheit) nicht aufgebe.“
