Type: kshetra
Listener: Śaunaka and the Naimiṣāraṇya sages (implied standard frame)
Scene: A devotee, hands folded, asks forgiveness before a Śiva shrine of Kedāra; after prostration he departs, face serene, suffused with relief and joy.
Humility, seeking forgiveness, and reverent conduct are presented as dharmic means to resolve conflict and karmic entanglement.
The continuing context is Kedāra/Kedāreśvara tīrtha within the Tīrthamāhātmya.
Praṇipāta (reverential prostration) is depicted as a devotional act, though not framed as a formal prescription.
