Skanda Purana — Nagara Khanda, Shloka 707

तस्माद्विडंबितो यस्मादाश्रमोऽयं तपस्विनाम् । शिलारूपा च भवती तस्माद्भवतु कुत्सिता

Transliteration

tasmādviḍaṃbito yasmādāśramo'yaṃ tapasvinām | śilārūpā ca bhavatī tasmādbhavatu kutsitā

Translation

Darum — weil diese Einsiedelei der Asketen verhöhnt wurde, und weil du eine steinerne Gestalt angenommen hast — darum sei geschmäht und verurteilt.
