ब्राह्मणा ऊत्रुः । आसीत्पूर्वं मुनिश्रेष्ठो लिखिताख्यो महीतले । शांडिल्यस्य मुनेः पुत्रस्तपोवीर्यसमन्वितः
brāhmaṇā ūtruḥ | āsītpūrvaṃ muniśreṣṭho likhitākhyo mahītale | śāṃḍilyasya muneḥ putrastapovīryasamanvitaḥ
Die Brahmanen erwiderten: „Einst lebte auf Erden ein vortrefflicher Weiser namens Likhita, Sohn des Rishi Śāṇḍilya, erfüllt von der Kraft, die aus Askese geboren ist.“
