Transliteration

kāścidarddhānuliptāṃgyaḥ kāścidekāṃjitekṣaṇāḥ | ardhasaṃyamitaiḥ kaiśaistathānyāstyaktabālakāḥ

Translation

Manche waren nur halb mit Salben bestrichen; manche hatten nur ein Auge mit Kajal geschminkt. Andere hatten das Haar erst halb gebunden; wieder andere, erschrocken, ließen ihre Kinder zurück und stürzten hinaus.
