Type: kshetra
Scene: Brahmā (implied speaker) urges Indra to gather all devas quickly and proceed to worship Viṣṇu, titled ‘Lord of the lords’.
In calamity, the devas themselves take refuge in devoted worship; surrender to the Supreme is the sure remedy.
The verse points toward the Kṣīrārṇava (Ocean of Milk) setting in the subsequent narration, rather than a terrestrial tīrtha.
Ārādhana (propitiatory worship) of Viṣṇu is prescribed as the course of action.
