अभ्यासपरमावास्तामन्योन्यविजिगीषया । तथा तौ युध्यमानौ च चित्ररूपौ तपस्विनौ

abhyāsaparamāvāstāmanyonyavijigīṣayā | tathā tau yudhyamānau ca citrarūpau tapasvinau

Getrieben von der durch Übung erlangten höchsten Waffenmeisterschaft und vom Wunsch, einander zu besiegen, kämpften jene beiden weiter und erschienen in wundersamer Gestalt, wie mächtige Asketen in strenger Zucht.
