Type: kshetra
Listener: Audience/rishis in the narrative frame (contextual)
Scene: Himālaya reasons aloud: how can one seek a conventional marriage with the one who burned Kāma; he lists unsuitable matches (too near/far, rich/poor, livelihood-less, foolish).
Marriage is a dharmic responsibility; suitability and stability are weighed carefully, not merely emotion or status.
No specific tirtha is praised in this verse; it occurs within the Himalayan Kedārakhaṇḍa narrative.
It gives a dharma-guideline: kanyā-dāna is not advised under certain unsuitable conditions (distance, extremes of wealth/poverty, lack of livelihood, folly).
