ईश्वर उवाच । गिरिजातपसा विष्णो जितोऽहं नात्र संशयः । पाणिग्रहार्थमेवाद्य गंतुकामो हिमालयम्

Transliteration

īśvara uvāca | girijātapasā viṣṇo jito'haṃ nātra saṃśayaḥ | pāṇigrahārthamevādya gaṃtukāmo himālayam

Translation

Īśvara sprach: „O Viṣṇu, durch Girijās Askese bin ich bezwungen worden — daran besteht kein Zweifel. Heute begehre ich zum Himālaya zu gehen, um ihre Hand zur Vermählung zu ergreifen.“
