Type: kshetra
Listener: The assembled ṛṣis/ritviks and devas present at the rite
Scene: Dadhīci rises and laments: despite many purified sages and gods, a great calamity has arisen because the great-souled one is not present; faces show concern and dawning realization.
Even among the wise, dharma is safeguarded by humility and right allegiance; the absence of a truly great soul can allow disorder to grow.
Kedāra/Kedārakṣetra is the setting (Kedārakhaṇḍa), though this verse focuses on the moral crisis rather than a site-description.
No explicit ritual is prescribed in this verse.
