Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 77

तस्मात्कालमुखे सर्वे पतिता नात्र संशयः । सर्वे श्रुतिपरा यूयमिंद्राद्या देवतागणाः

tasmātkālamukhe sarve patitā nātra saṃśayaḥ | sarve śrutiparā yūyamiṃdrādyā devatāgaṇāḥ

Darum seid ihr alle in den „Mund der Zeit“ gefallen—daran besteht kein Zweifel. Und doch behauptet ihr, die Scharen der Götter, beginnend mit Indra, allesamt der Śruti ergeben zu sein.
