शप्ता वयं त्वया विप्र साधवः शिवकिंकराः । वृथैव ब्रह्मचापल्यादहं शापं ददामि ते
śaptā vayaṃ tvayā vipra sādhavaḥ śivakiṃkarāḥ | vṛthaiva brahmacāpalyādahaṃ śāpaṃ dadāmi te
„O Brahmane, wir—rechtschaffene Diener Śivas—sind von dir vergeblich verflucht worden, aus brahmanischer Unbesonnenheit. Darum spreche ich nun einen Fluch über dich aus.“
