श्रृण्वंत्वमी विप्रतमा इदानीं वचो हि मे कर्तुमिहार्हथैतत् । रुद्रो ह्ययं यज्ञबाह्यो वृतो मे वर्णातीतो वर्णपरो यतश्च

śrṛṇvaṃtvamī vipratamā idānīṃ vaco hi me kartumihārhathaitat | rudro hyayaṃ yajñabāhyo vṛto me varṇātīto varṇaparo yataśca

Mögen diese vornehmsten Brahmanen nun meine Worte hören und tun, was hier angemessen ist. Denn dieser Rudra wurde von mir vom Opfer ferngehalten – er steht außerhalb der Kaste und auch über der Kaste; deshalb habe ich ihn ausgeschlossen.
