अयं कुलक्रमोऽस्माकं यद्भार्या पतिमुद्वहेत् । तत्रानुज्ञां समासाद्य परिणेष्यामि त्वामहम्

Transliteration

ayaṃ kulakramo'smākaṃ yadbhāryā patimudvahet | tatrānujñāṃ samāsādya pariṇeṣyāmi tvāmaham

Translation

„Dies ist die Überlieferung unseres Geschlechts: dass die Gattin den Gatten erwählt und annimmt. Darum werde ich, nachdem ich dort die Erlaubnis erlangt habe, dich ordnungsgemäß heiraten.“
