यथैवैधः समुत्थेन वह्निना नाशमृच्छति । तथाऽकृतात्मा लोबेन स्वोत्पन्नेन विनश्यति

yathaivaidhaḥ samutthena vahninā nāśamṛcchati | tathā'kṛtātmā lobena svotpannena vinaśyati

Wie Brennholz durch das Feuer zugrunde geht, das aus eben diesem Holz aufsteigt, so wird der Unbeherrschte durch die in ihm selbst entstehende Gier (lobha) vernichtet.
