Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 35
स्नेहात्करणरागश्च प्रजज्ञे वैषयस्तथा । अश्रेयस्कावुभावतौ पूर्वस्तत्र गुरुः स्मृतः
snehātkaraṇarāgaśca prajajñe vaiṣayastathā | aśreyaskāvubhāvatau pūrvastatra guruḥ smṛtaḥ
Aus Anhaftung entsteht die Färbung der Sinne durch Begierde und ebenso das Verlangen nach den Objekten. Beides ist Ursache des Unheilsamen; und hierbei gilt das Erste (Anhaftung) als der Hauptanstifter.
