श्रोता चाप्यथ वक्तारं तदा वाक्यं न रोहति । अथ यः स्वप्रियं ब्रूयाच्छ्रोतुर्वोत्सृज्ययदृतम्

śrotā cāpyatha vaktāraṃ tadā vākyaṃ na rohati | atha yaḥ svapriyaṃ brūyācchroturvotsṛjyayadṛtam

Und wenn der Hörer seinerseits den Sprecher missachtet, schlagen die Worte keine Wurzeln. Ebenso derjenige, der nur das sagt, was ihm selbst gefällt, und das wahrhaft Heilsame für den Hörer preisgibt,
