Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 82

सत्यां बुद्धौ न जानाति बोध्यमानो बुधैरपि । संसारे क्लिश्यते तेन रागमोहवशानुगः

satyāṃ buddhau na jānāti bodhyamāno budhairapi | saṃsāre kliśyate tena rāgamohavaśānugaḥ

Selbst mit klarem Verstand versteht er nicht—auch wenn ihn die Weisen belehren. Darum leidet er im Saṃsāra, dem Zwang von Leidenschaft und Verblendung folgend.
