न श्रृणोति न वक्त्येव मनसापि च किंचन । एवंप्रभावः सोऽभूच्च बाल्ये विप्रसुतस्तदा
na śrṛṇoti na vaktyeva manasāpi ca kiṃcana | evaṃprabhāvaḥ so'bhūcca bālye viprasutastadā
Er hörte nicht und sprach nicht; ja, nicht einmal im Geist wandte er sich irgendetwas zu. So war sein außergewöhnlicher Zustand, als er noch ein Knabe, ein Sohn eines Brāhmaṇa, war.
