देवानां च महामोदं तारकः प्राह सारथिम् । सारथे पश्य सैन्यानि द्राव्यमाणानि मे सुरैः
devānāṃ ca mahāmodaṃ tārakaḥ prāha sārathim | sārathe paśya sainyāni drāvyamāṇāni me suraiḥ
Als Tāraka die große Freude der Götter sah, sprach er zu seinem Wagenlenker: „Wagenlenker, sieh nur — meine Heere werden von den Göttern zurückgedrängt!“
