Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 65

औत्तानपादिरस्पृश्य उत्तमो हि सुरैः कृतः । अथ चेत्तत्र संयामि न महीसागरस्ततः

auttānapādiraspṛśya uttamo hi suraiḥ kṛtaḥ | atha cettatra saṃyāmi na mahīsāgarastataḥ

Selbst Auttānapādi (Dhruva), obgleich einst als „unberührbar“ erachtet, wurde von den Göttern zur höchsten Erhabenheit erhoben. Doch wenn ich dorthin gehe, dann wird mir diese Zusammenkunft von Erde und Ozean nicht mehr zugänglich, ja nicht mehr bedeutsam sein.
