एनं विज्ञातुमिच्छामि किंनामासौ गणस्तव । श्रीशंकर उवाच । स एष वीरक देवी सदा मेद्रिसुते प्रियः
enaṃ vijñātumicchāmi kiṃnāmāsau gaṇastava | śrīśaṃkara uvāca | sa eṣa vīraka devī sadā medrisute priyaḥ
„Ich wünsche ihn zu erkennen — wie heißt dieser dein Gaṇa?“ Śrī Śaṅkara sprach: „O Göttin, dies ist Vīraka, mir stets lieb, o Tochter des Berges.“
