Transliteration

vaktumicchuḥ śailaputrīṃ sakhībhiriti coditaḥ | brahmanniyaṃ mahābhāgā gṛhītaniyamā śubhā

Translation

Begierig, zur Tochter des Berges zu sprechen, und von ihren Gefährtinnen dazu gedrängt, wurde ihm gesagt: „O Brāhmaṇa, diese edle und glückverheißende Frau hat ein heiliges Niyama (Gelübde der Observanz) auf sich genommen.“
