Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 21

चंद्रसूर्यौ ग्रहास्तारा यच्चान्यद्देवपक्षतः । तच्च सर्वं निराकृत्य स्थापितो दैत्यपक्षकः

caṃdrasūryau grahāstārā yaccānyaddevapakṣataḥ | tacca sarvaṃ nirākṛtya sthāpito daityapakṣakaḥ

Sogar Mond und Sonne, die Planeten und Sterne—und alles, was zur Seite der Götter gehörte—wies er zurück und verdrängte es gänzlich und errichtete stattdessen die Herrschaft des Daitya-Heeres.
