मोहयामास दैत्येन्द्रो जगत्कृत्वा तमोमयम् । ततो विफलनेत्राणि दानवानां बलानि च
Transliteration
mohayāmāsa daityendro jagatkṛtvā tamomayam | tato viphalanetrāṇi dānavānāṃ balāni ca
Translation
Der Herr der Daityas verwirrte alle, indem er die Welt machte, als bestünde sie aus Finsternis; da wurden die Heere der Dānavas, als wäre ihr Blick nutzlos geworden.
