गृहिण्युवाच । भगवन्भिक्षुकास्तावदद्य दृष्टा न कुत्रचित् । असत्कृत्यातिथिं नाथो न मे भोक्ष्यति कर्हिचित्
gṛhiṇyuvāca | bhagavanbhikṣukāstāvadadya dṛṣṭā na kutracit | asatkṛtyātithiṃ nātho na me bhokṣyati karhicit
Die Hausfrau sprach: „O Ehrwürdiger, heute habe ich nirgends Bettelmönche gesehen. Wenn ich es versäume, den Gast zu ehren, wird mein Gatte niemals von meiner Speise essen.“
