Narrator (deduced: Skanda narrating to Agastya within Kāśīkhaṇḍa style)
Listener: Audience within the frame narration (contextual)
Scene: Devī storms out with anger-darkened eyes; attendants or empty doorway emphasize haste; a shrine or liṅga remains behind, unattended.
Anger clouds discernment and leads to omission of essential dharma—especially acts of reverence that should precede departure.
Within the Kāśī Khaṇḍa, the implied sacred setting is Kāśī where correct devotional conduct toward Mahādeva is paramount.
Implied prescription: before leaving, one should complete obligatory acts of reverence (such as bowing and circumambulation), elaborated in the next verses.
