Transliteration

tatohaṃ tasya tapasā saṃtuṣṭaḥ sthiracetasaḥ | yayau tasmai varāndātuṃ śamanāya mahātmane

Translation

Dann, erfreut über die Askese jenes standhaften Geistes, ging Ich hin, um ihm Gnaden zu gewähren, zur Besänftigung jener großen Seele: Śamana (Yama).
