दुर्गोवाच । यः स्तोष्यति तु मां भक्त्या नरः स्तुत्यानया शुचिः । तस्याहं नाशयिष्यामि विपदं च पदे पदे
durgovāca | yaḥ stoṣyati tu māṃ bhaktyā naraḥ stutyānayā śuciḥ | tasyāhaṃ nāśayiṣyāmi vipadaṃ ca pade pade
Durgā sprach: „Wer immer mich, rein im Herzen, mit Hingabe durch diesen Hymnus preist—dessen Unheil werde ich vernichten, immer wieder, Schritt für Schritt.“
